Three people, including a Mecklenburg EMS Agency--Medic provider, suffered life-threatening injuries early Friday when an ambulance was struck along a highway in Charlotte early Friday morning.
The crew was in the back of the ambulance treating a patient when it was struck, according to WSOC.
That patient and a passenger in the striking vehicle also were transported with life-threatening injuries while another medic was seriously hurt.
The rig flipped onto its side and sustained heavy damage.
The investigation is continuing.
